Lightning

What is lightning made of?


It is an atmospheric discharge of electricity accompanied by thunder. Which mostly occurs in thunderstorms. Also in volcanic eruptions and dust storms. The electricity that its made of the same electricity we use to power up some of the things we use here on Earth.

  1. lightning id a large discharge of electricity. it contains nothing but electrons and neutrons.

  2. You need cold air and warm air. When they meet, the warm air goes up. It makes thunderstorm clouds! The cold air has ice crystals. The warm air has water droplets. During the storm, the droplets and crystals bump together and move apart in the air. This rubbing makes static electrical charges in the clouds.
