Lightning

How does lightning work?

With bolt temperatures hotter than the surface of the sun and shockwaves beaming out in all directions, lightning is a lesson in physical science and humility. Beyond its powerful beauty, lightning presents science with one of its greatest local mysteries. It can also be very dangerous if your are struck by lightning. Sometimes lightning begins with a process that's less mysterious: the water cycle. To fully understand how the water cycle works, we must first understand the principles of evaporation and condensation.

Lightning

How lightning strikes?

Lighting strikes form the air and the ground at the same time. When the two electrical charges meet in the middle it gives off a huge flash in mid air and can be very harmful if hit upon by it,  but it can also be very relaxing to sit out outside and watch the two things hit. Some people take pictures and do research on them.
